ELEMENTARY AND PRESCHOOL EDUCATION

Work with children in elementary and pre-elementary  school may be big challenge for you, but a great pleasure too. During studies the basis of each child personality builds, and you may influence on this, choosing your profession. You can do a lot to make modern school truly a “second house” for many pupils. Studies extend basic knowledge of pedagogy, psychology, philosophy and special subjects such as: early education, preschool education, pedagogical diagnosis and therapy, Polish philology, mathematics, environmental education, technical education, music education, computer technologies.
It also includes practical work in school and kindergarten. A graduate of this specialization acquires such skills as:

  • organization and implementation of integrated teaching process in the field of early childhood education and preschool,
  • interaction with the local community,
  • conducting additional compensation and socio-therapeutic activities supporting the development of the child,
  • use of multimedia in the teaching process, the Internet and professional equipment for video and audio playback,
  • acquire basic pedagogical, sociological, psychological, and educational knowledge necessary to understand the socio-cultural context of education, upbringing and care work, and construction of own professional development,
  • learn practical skills in communication,
  • the use of diagnostic workshop,
  • enriching and improving knowledge and skills in the practical activities and create your own methodological skills.

REHABILITATION WITH THE ADDICTIONS PREVENTION

Work with children and young people of school age can be a great challenge for you, but also a pleasure and a chance to achieve the professional success and personal satisfaction. In the difficult period of development and maturation of a young man, under the guidance of a teacher, the foundation of personality is formed. You can affect it with your decision to go to college. You can do a lot for contemporary rehabilitation of children and young people and make it professional, competent and effective. You also believe that with gaining knowledge and experience you become a good teacher, tutor and expert in rehabilitation. If you smile often and like to grow professionally, you can make your dreams and career plans come true today.

The aim of the study is to gain a comprehensive knowledge and skills in the field of health and education, correctional diagnosis, the practical application of teaching methods in creative rehabilitation, planning and implementation of pedagogical innovations in care and educational work. You can study preventive and rehabilitative therapy, addiction, educational consulting, planning and implementation of prevention and rehabilitation at school and outside school, conflict resolution techniques, techniques of work individually and in groups, work with psycho addiction, as well as preventive and social rehabilitation programs, the practical application of teaching techniques, interpersonal communication. You will learn how to customize forms of care and education to the individual needs of the charges, the use of innovative techniques and methods of care and rehabilitation work with addicts and socially unsuitable. You will get theoretical and practical training in the field of social pathology, independent and creative problem solving. Studies are familiar with the psychological problems associated with different life situations and a broad range of addictions, including the internet, gambling, alcohol, and drugs. The student learns the basics of psychotherapy and addiction treatment, management, planning, organization, facilities, and techniques to promote healthy behaviors.

The study program includes subjects such as: Introduction to Sociology; Sociology of education; Introduction to Psychology; Developmental psychology and personality; Introduction to pedagogy; Contemporary Approaches to teaching; History of Education; Theoretical foundations of education; Basics of general didactics; Methods of educational research; Social pedagogy; Biomedical foundations of development; Information technology and media in education; Interpersonal contact; Rehabilitation pedagogy; Methodology of rehabilitation; Diagnosis techniques of rehabilitation; The theoretical basis of addiction prevention; Art therapy; The legal basis for the care and rehabilitation; Social mediation and social skills training; Project management; Basic knowledge about addiction; Youth subcultures; Methods of prevention of addiction; Modern graphic techniques in rehabilitation.

REHABILITATION PEDAGOGY WITH SOCIAL PREVENTION

Modern person functions in an increasingly rapidly changing society which places increasing demands to diverse social groups, both young people and adults. The world in which we live, unfortunately, is not free from many threats, such as alcohol, drugs, addiction; violence and crime; unemployment. If it is you care, you want to know the mechanisms of risky behavior and prevention strategies, you want to look into the problems of others, you want to help with the social adaptation, you want to examine and explore the essence of disorders of the social environment, and at the same time communicate effectively with pupils - this specialization is for you.

The aim of the studies is to get classical, fundamental knowledge in the field of rehabilitation pedagogy supplemented with contemporary views and transformations in the field of knowledge and educational practice. The aim is to educate students towards evolution, showing the theoretical perspectives of contemporary trends in correctional pedagogy, as well as the activation of the independent, critical role of educator in the modern system of social and crime.

Furthermore, the objective is to provide the knowledge of the theoretical foundations in didactics and to develop and deepen the ability to apply the theory of social rehabilitation unit in contact with social misfit, awareness of multiple negative factors determining the impact of social integration in isolation and an indication of the contemporary methodological solutions in the field of rehabilitation penitentiary, gain knowledge in the theoretical foundations of the theory and practice of contemporary socio-therapeutic, which is based on the work of community correction. An important goal is to create and develop students skills for effective educational interactions, as well as the skill to establish good contact with the pupil.
